The Architecture of Intimacy
In our latest execution at DHA Multan, the drawing room is recontextualized not merely as a formal reception area, but as a sophisticated exercise in spatial hierarchy. The layout is deliberately curated to foster conversation, utilizing statement furniture pieces to anchor clear seating zones. This intentional arrangement ensures that despite the room’s generous proportions, a sense of intimacy remains the presiding emotion.
Vertical Rhythm and Materiality
The visual narrative of the space is driven by a meticulous ‘vertical rhythm.’ Custom fluted panels articulate the walls, creating a texture that draws the eye upward and emphasizes the volume of the room. This rhythmic repetition is balanced by a palette of warm neutrals and gold accents, allowing the materiality of the project—from the polished flooring to the detailed ceiling work—to speak with quiet authority.
Ambient Luminosity
Lighting is the final architectural layer. By prioritizing ambient luminosity over harsh, direct sources, we have created a setting that adapts to the passage of time. The interplay between statement chandeliers and recessed cove lighting highlights the relief of the wall panels, casting soft shadows that give the room a sculptural quality. Every element, from the custom millwork to the furniture selection, is planned to support both the rigors of daily use and the grace of formal gatherings.
